... It can't just be me this happens to.
Music blackouts, just great... Where the hell did I get (and more importantly who the hell are) Craving Lucy? I mean, they sound pretty good, but still...
Hrmph, I have them yet somehow still haven't gotten any Theory Of A Deadman. Must rectify this soon.

First, I want to thank you all for your kind words and thoughts on the passing of my Polly cat, I've really appreciated it.
I'm afraid I've not been around much since then as I've had a bit of a health problem myself. My semi-regular Toothache From Hell(tm) had returned and the regular round of anti-biotics failed, so we thought "Maybe it's sinus!" so off to the doc I go, new drugs issued, pain continues, off to the dentist I go and... yup, it's a tooth. The one tooth I had in the area without a root canal. Guess what? It needs a root canal, so if the anti-biotics knock the infection back enough I'll be getting a new root canal next week. Yay! (actual sarcasm level low, end of pain makes it honestly yay-able)
For those who wanted to know, the music meme results are now up. Hint, someone kicked everyone else's butts.
And here I cut a ton of memes I've accumulated and not posted.

Dear Phone and Cable Companies (AKA "You Stupids!"):
Do not screw with the local fire departments.
You will lose. You lost last night. Learn from it.

Most likely it's only in WV where you'll find some fire trucks equipped with shotguns to shoot down power lines in emergencies. And where you'll hear, over a police scanner, after the dispatcher says "Verizon says to stay on scene and they'll have someone there at 8 in the morning." at about, oh, 10:30PM or so and then the reply from the firemen on scene "I'm not staying here and babysitting this line all night, tell them to dispatch someone or we'll just cut the line." since the line was across a road and two feet off the ground (and providing, oh, cable to the area and PHONE SERVICES TO THE STATE PRISON!)... Dispatcher relays, from Phone (and I assume cable company) "They'll be there in 2-4 hours."
...
11PM last night, my cable went out. Luckily my phone comes in from a different direction. I should have been annoyed at the cable going out, but I found it far too funny and cheered the firemen for sticking it back to the Phone and Cable companies. And yes, as I'm online now, cable was restored... around 7am.
